La maschera ci fa sentire a nostro agio, fa cadere il ruolo sociale e ci conduce fuori dalla vita ordinaria, restando pur sempre in una zona di conforto poiché ci trasporta nella sfera del gioco. Ricrea lo spazio cultuale. La maschera ci protegge e ci libera dal peso della società, dagli stereotipi e dall’identificazione, ci dà forza e coraggio. La maschera è un gesto: un atto di ribellione e di resistenza per noi stessi e per gli altri.

The mask makes us feel at ease, it breaks down social roles and takes us out of ordinary life, while still keeping us in our comfort zone because it transports us into the realm of play. It recreates the cultic space. The mask protects us and frees us from the weight of society, stereotypes and identification, giving us strength and courage. The mask is a gesture: an act of rebellion and resistance for ourselves and for others.
