La città contemporanea è sempre più smart e sempre meno polis. La metropoli ha sempre più bisogno di grandi architetture, altamente tecnologiche e sempre meno a misura d’uomo. La megalopoli cresce, la libertà e gli scambi umani, quelli dell’agorà, svaniscono per far spazio a una city degli “affari”, artificiale e sottovuoto. Vogliamo toccare il cielo, dimenticandoci della terra e di chi la abita. Forse l’IA avrà più buon senso degli esseri umani?

The contemporary city is becoming increasingly smart and less of a polis. The metropolis is ever more reliant on grand, highly technological architecture, and less and less on human scale. The megalopolis expands, while freedom and human interaction — those of the agora — vanish, making way for a sterile, artificial city of “business”. We strive to touch the sky, forgetting the earth and those who inhabit it. Might AI possess more common sense than humans?
